Inspiration at Biltmore

Over the Christmas holidays, my husband and I took a trip to Asheville, NC, home of the Biltmore estate.  It was a great trip.  My favorite room at Biltmore was Mrs. Vanderbilt's room.  In yellow, gold, black, and deep purple with trim of white and lilac, it is feminine and decadent all at the same time.

We had a couple meals on the estate, and at the Deerpark Restaurant, there was a display of quilts.  Here's a few of my favorites:
